Peer Sessions were invited to host a seminar of crits, awarded to winners of Cass Art's online student art prize. We facilitated discussions of the work of three of the winners, Catherine Corfield, Vanessa Lawrence and Kate Burling.

Catherine Corfield presented four exquisitely executed observational landscape paintings on canvas, featuring people interacting with nature and the urban environment.

Vanessa Lawrence presented a number of vibrant charcoal and pastel drawings, centred on the female figure, principally life models and burlesque dancers. She also showed some preparatory sketches for a book she was working on.

Kate Burling presented four recent works, oils on canvas that used an earthy palette to render enigmatic images of interiors, which were semi-abstracted.
